Data Scientist  ·  Sports Analytics

I build machine learning tools that turn player performance data into scouting decisions — most recently for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

About

I'm a data scientist with a Master's in Sports Analytics from Universidad Europea de Madrid and a Bachelor's in Data Science from Université Saint-Joseph. My work centers on predictive modeling and feature engineering applied to player performance — most notably Thunder Up, a scouting tool built as my capstone project for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Years of coaching basketball give me a domain-level read on the game that most analytics-only profiles don't have, which is what I try to bring to every model I build.

Core Competencies

Time-Series Predictive Modeling
Machine Learning (scikit-learn)
Feature Engineering & EDA
Python & R for Statistical Modeling
SQL & Relational Databases

Project

Master's Capstone

Thunder Up — NBA Scouting Tool

Final grade: 9/10
  • Designed and built a scouting tool for the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA), applying statistical modeling and data visualization to support player evaluation and talent identification.
  • Worked with player performance data to surface insights intended to inform scouting and recruitment decisions.
  • Combined data science techniques with basketball domain knowledge to translate analytical output into scouting-relevant conclusions.
  • Evaluators highlighted the project's professional-caliber scouting workflow and its use of player archetypes, advanced metrics, and matchup analysis.
